Green Smoothie With Yogurt

This smoothie is great for a healthy heart, bone, for pregnancy, boots immune system.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 cup non-fat plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup baby spinach
  • 1 cup frozen banana slices (about 1 medium banana)
  • ½ cup frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1-2 teaspoons pure maple syrup or honey (optional)

Preparation

Add almond milk and yogurt to a blender, then add spinach, banana, pineapple, chia and sweetener (if using); blend until smooth.

Serving size: about 1½ cups

Per serving: 297 calories, 6 g fat, 10 g fibre, 54 g carbohydrates, 13 g protein, 4 mg cholesterol, vitamin A; 61 mg vitamin C, 297 mg calcium, 2 mg iron, 145 mg sod

My Story

My story began with my body giving me a wakeup call which I had no choice but to answer. I was diagnosed with Spinal Tuberculosis and Bronchitis in 2000 and living with Sickle Cell Anaemia.

I understand the phrase “health is wealth” very well. At various stages of my illness I was told by the Doctors that eating a good diet was all I needed to get better.
